Where is Gloria?

 I heard that Madonna's been taking some flack, lately, for not accepting her senior status. Senior- as in old, not senior- as in accomplished. And well, yes. There's actually nothing hot about Madonna. There's actually nothing hot about Elton John, (for the record, I am a die hard fan of the old geezer) and there for sure in the hell was nothing hot about Betty White, but the millennials and zoomers think that she was the fire. They're also head over heals for Dolly Parton, which is bizarre to me because her most famous crooning, was her begging another woman to not steal her man.

All, while having a 2 pound wig and triple D cups and using them as a tool....

And Gloria Steinman's not upset.

I've died and gone to hell.

I'll never, nor have I ever been able to use my breasts as a selling point. And Lord have mercy, but I'd sell both of my anthills before I'd ever beg another woman not to take a cheating man. What has this world come to?

The truth is, this generation is lost.  They've lived through the war of divorce and broken families and role models who call them from jail to bail them out, from a drunk driving bust. They've seen an entire country rally around a criminal who resisted arrest, died , and was immortalized as a saint.

I honestly question my existence at this point.  What the What?

Why can't Madonna stop it?  I used to love her. Now, I'm embarrassed for her. 

There's something to be said about aging gracefully. I'm not talking about knitting afghans. But what about us older women who don't want young sex toys? We want hikes in the Grand Canyon. We want whales in Nova Scotia. We want Gordon Lightfoot to remind us about rainy day people. We want peace. Some of us are finished with sex and the war that comes with it.

Where the hell is Gloria?
